Damascus -(PanOrient News) Arab astronomers have predicted that a series of worldwide disasters during 2016 could affect the course of history.

Ahmad Shahin, the Nostradamus of Arabs, is so confident of his predictions that he foresees the return of Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi as head of state in Libya, the disappearance of Iraqi Prime Minister al-Abadi from politics, and the country of Jordan expanding its borders to emerge as Greater Jordan.

Shahin also predicts that Egypt will attack Qatar and Egyption President al-Sisi will be betrayed by his inner circle and experience an assassination attempt during the month of Ramadan. He expects American, European and Russian military bases to be established in Egypt. However, Shahins’s predictions say that 2016 will also see a female prime minister for the first time in history in Egypt as well as in one of the Gulf States.

Somewhat differently, the Lebanese astronomer Mike Feghaly, who claims that his predictions are mostly off the cuff and impulsive, expects Qatar to occupy Bahrain, and a foreign military base to be established in Lebanon.

Feghaly also predicts that the Ottoman State of Turkey will start collapsing in 2016 and be divided into parts. This will eventually allow the Armenian state to reemerge in its original location. He foresees Saudi Arabia facing the same collapse as Turkey and believes that Yemen will be separated into two parts.

Feghaly sees Germany being threatened by great danger, and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu unable to leave Israel due to international warrants for his arrest.

Another Lebanese astronomer, Samir Tomb, predicts that an elevator in an American skyscraper will fall and cause a major tragedy.

Economically, Arab Astronomers are united in predicting the collapse of three major currencies, the Euro, the US Dollar and the Chinese currency which they say, will pave the way for the emergence of a new “Bit coin” currency.

Ahmad Shahin has predicted the assassination of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by one of his relatives after he steps down. He expects the Russian coalition to fail soon. He says that Saudia Arabia will lead a 'storm' moving from Yemen to Libya and then on to Syria. Contrary to Shahin, Mike Feghaly sees a glimmer of light for a more relaxed Syria.

The most controversial are the predicted deaths of well-known celebrities throughout 2016. Mike Feghaly has predicted his own death to take place in a car accident. Ahmad Shahin has predicted the death of Queen Elizabeth, the death of Hezbollah leader, Hasan Nasrallah from cancer, and the death of a number of artists from Egypt and Lebanon including Fairuz, the famous Lebanese singer.
