For the still-new 2019, Arab astronomers predict a continuation of unrest in the world, a Russian-Chinese war and dramatic changes in Syria that will attract a rush of large international investment to the devastated country.

Sanma, an Iraqi spiritual astronomer, foresees major dramatic events for 2019: a devastating earthquake that will hit Israel, Saudi troops sweeping into Qatar by order of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, and an end of military rule in both Sudan and Algeria.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese astronomer Laila Abdullateef has some good news; she expects the war in Yemen to come to an end this year. But nevertheless, 2019 will not be short of trouble. She predicts that natural disasters will continue, with an earthquake hitting one of the American states, something terrible befalling a soccer star—either Ronaldo Cristiano or Lionel Messi—and the collapse of one major tower in the world, although she didn’t specify the country.

Iran, too, will witness demonstrations, protests and demands to oust its leader Ali Khamenei, who will be admitted to the hospital for a long period, according to astronomer Samir Tonb. Tonb also predicts that a number of world leaders will face death this year. However, he says that fate will finally smile on Iraq, which will witness the beginning of prosperity. Israel will also have something to celebrate in 2019: an improvement in relations with Arab countries, including Iraq and the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in Tonb’s vision.

Mike Faghali, the most popular Arab astronomer, sees some international organizations ceasing to exist, such as the U.N. Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. Most importantly, he predicts the disappearance of a large security organization somewhere in the world, name undisclosed. Similarly, Michel Hayek sees the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on thin ice this year.

Globally, economies and financial markets in some countries such as the U.S., China, Italy, Canada, Dubai and Kuwait will witness major shakes and some European economies may even collapse, according to Laila Abdullatif’s prophecies. Protests and demonstrations will continue in France, as Faghali foretells, and will move to Germany, the U.K. and the Netherlands, as predicted by a number of Arab astronomers.

As far as the wrath of nature is concerned, astronomers see disasters everywhere and one even goes so far as to predict a disaster every three months, particularly in the U.S. Others see huge disasters in the Philippines and Indonesia, and a drop in temperatures to very low levels in the Arab region, although the political situation will continue to boil.
