Tokyo -- A luxury Tokyo hotel is making itself available for a single client for one night only as a way of celebrating its fifth anniversary.

The luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi business district can be rented out for the night for 55 million yen (approximately $680,000; service charge and accommodation tax will also be added to the bill). The hotel will accept enquiries/bookings for this until Nov. 30, 2011.

For that price, the lucky client will have the run of all 178 rooms and suites (including the 250-sq.-meter Presidential Suite), the hotel's nine restaurants and bars, the award-winning spa and the Grand Ballroom from 3 pm until checkout at noon the following day.

According to a press release issued by the hotel, the price will include all accommodation and use of the property's three Michelin-starred restaurants.

Also included will be a cocktail reception for up to five hundred guests in the Grand Ballroom, use of 36 projectors that together can form 360-degree images, and a cake for five hundred created exclusively by Executive Pastry Chef Hiroshi Igarashi, the first Japanese winner of the "Degustation" category at this year's World Pastry Team Championship.

The package is limited to a single client and is valid for up to five hundred guests.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is one of several luxury category hotels to have opened in Japan's capital in recent years and the competition for business is fierce.

The hotel is located on the top nine floors of the 195-meter, Cesar Pelli-designed Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower and has won a number of awards since it opened nearly five years ago. It was the first Mandarin Oriental hotel to open its doors in Japan.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is based in Hong Kong and now operates, or has under development, 41 hotels representing over 10,000 rooms in 27 countries.
