Right-wing Protest in Tokyo
Monday, August 15, 2011
A truck belonging to a Japanese right-wing group passes before the U.S. embassy in Tokyo on Monday, the 66th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Other trucks passed around the embassy broadcasting slogans criticizing how the war was ended and asking for an apology from the United States for the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Every year on Aug. 15, many events are held across Japan in memory of the roughly 3.1 million people who perished in the war.
