USS John Paul Jones Helps Iran's Sohaila

Members of the visit, board, search and seizure team of the guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones speak, on Jan. 31, with crew members of the Iranian-flagged fishing dhow M/V Sohaila. The dhow's master sent a distressed call, reporting that the dhow's engine was inoperable. U.S. Navy personnel repaired the engine and freed the fouled propeller. John Paul Jones is assigned to the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility, U.S. Navy said.
