Nuclearization has been assuming a "soft corner" amongst Japanese decision-makers. Yesterday's religious-like taboo can become today's norm - a commercial, political, and security norm.

A new reality is unfolding in Japan. It has become a reality that "Japan cannot say no to America."

It seems that Tokyo cannot oppose American troop concentrations in Okinawa, nor pose a serious objection to the US-India nuclear deal signed in 2005.
