Chancellorsville is in Town

The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) arrives at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka on June 19 to join the forward deployed naval forces deployed to Japan. The 170-meter-long ship accommodates about 350 sailors and has the latest air-defense system. The Navy plans to deploy 2 more Aegis ships at Yokosuka by the summer of 2017, and also plans to deploy the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan to Yokosuka this fall.
