Palestinian and Israeli Attacks Worry Japan

Tokyo- (PanOrient News) Japan said today it is deeply concerned about the situation in which rocket attacks by Palestinian militants on Israel, and Israel’s military operations against Palestine, have caused death and injuries of civilians in Israel and the Gaza Strip.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo said Japan sends its condolences to the bereaved families, and calls upon both Israel and Palestinian militants to exercise maximum self-restraint to avoid further death and injuries.

Japan is convinced that the conflict people in the Middle East face can never be solved through violence but only through negotiations and efforts by both sides to build mutual trust. Japan strongly hopes that all parties concerned will make their utmost efforts to that end, according to the statement.
