Nay Pyi Taw: Myanmar on Friday (March 6) voiced grave concern about the recent surge of violence in the Middle East and called on all sides to come together for meaningful dialogue and enduring peace.
An official statement from Myanmar's Foreign Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw emphasized that “Myanmar believes countries can resolve conflicts only through constructive dialogue and diplomatic efforts based on the five principles of Peaceful Co-existence.”
"All parties involved in the Middle East conflict must respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of every country," the Ministry stated. . Myanmar appealed to all sides to lower tensions and pursue peaceful negotiations as the path to resolution.
The Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, or Panchsheel Principles, serve as a blueprint for respectful relations between nations. First embraced in 1954 by India and China, these ideals now guide many Asian and developing countries.
These principles call for honoring each nation's independence and borders, rejecting aggression and interference, and embracing peaceful coexistence with diverse systems while working together for mutual benefit.
