Israel's Settlement Construction Condemned by Japan

Tokyo- (PanOrient News) The Government of Japan has repeated their deepest censure toward the Israeli government for construction of housing units in settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

A statement issued on Friday (July 31) by the foreign ministry in Tokyo said such settlement construction is in violation of international law and strongly urges the Israeli government to desist from implementing the construction and to refrain from any unilateral act that does not contribute to resuming the peace negotiation.
