Japan Deplores Israel's Lawless Policies on Settlements

Tokyo- (PanOrient News) The Japanese government today condemned Israel's settlement activities, and called on the Israeli government to cease the policy of settlement construction and expansion.
A statement issued by the foreign ministry in Tokyo said Tokyo deeply deplores that the Government of Israel is advancing a series of settlement activities even after the Middle East Quartet released its report with the recommendations.
Japan said settlement activities by Israel are in violation of international law, and Japan has repeatedly called upon the Government of Israel to fully freeze settlement activities.
The Government of Japan strongly urges the Government of Israel to desist from implementing the plans of construction that is undermining the viability of a two-state solution, the statement said.
